Here is to New Beginnings… After many years of wanting to start a blog but never quite getting around to it, I finally got my act together and conformed to my inner urge. Now what to write? So many things swimming around my head but nothing coming to surface. I suppose I will begin with my life as a photographer. I have always been a visionary, even as a child I would borrow my Mothers camera and pose my brothers in the front yard and pretend to be the family photographer. I always had an undeniable need to capture everything around me as if to lock it away in my mind so that I would never lose the feeling of each moment that passed me by. Even with the heartbreak that came my way as I got older, Id always write about and photograph the wound with hopes that the process of recording it would help it heal. Id like to think that my photographs tell a story… From the moment that I raise my camera to take a shot, it is a driving force within me that tugs and pulls at me, begging me to capture it. Whatever it is that I see in that moment has a character and plot and I try to convey that in the way that I compose and light each image. They are my children, each and every picture has been born through pure emotion and creative urge. I can only hope that you see the same and perhaps even find your own story within them.
