We travel, some of us forever, to seek other lives, other states, other souls.
I know a lot of people are reluctant to travel with their children (especially when they’re young) but I truly believe it is one of the greatest gifts you can ever give them. I’ve always thought that if my boys can learn about the world from a very young age (not from what the media shows them or overheard opinions) but from their very own eyes, then they will understand that the differences between cultures and races are never anything to be fearful off. That those differences are what make the world so beautiful. By children stepping into other countries and embracing other cultures, it will only widen their minds and open their hearts. I love nothing more then watching my boys play with other children that don’t speak their language because I know that they are learning that friendships arent always formed by understanding each other, but by simply being open, accepting and walking into situations without judgement. At the end of the day, we all may be standing on different parts of the world but when we look up, we are all looking at the same set of stars. It’s our children that are going to change the world, it needs to start with them.
